The Burlingame Community Center Capital Campaign is delighted to share the story of another Legacy Gift donor

This week we feature Alicia and Pat Moorehead, who have generously sponsored the Dance/Fitness Studio, a beautiful space on the 2nd floor, as well as its furnishings. Alicia and Pat are devoted Burlingame residents who split time with their Long Beach home when they aren’t traveling the world or enjoying family. Pat was a lifelong (now retired) firefighter, and Alicia had an impressive career in venture capital. Above all else, quite literally, they are passionate about skydiving–that’s how they met! Pat will celebrate his 90th birthday by doing nine jumps in a single day.

They chose the Dance/Fitness Studio as their Legacy Gift to the Community Center due to their passion for healthy lifestyles. When asked about their choice, Pat and Alicia said they love the birds-eye view from the wood-sprung floors and towering glass windows that peer over their Burlingame apartment and provide views to the gorgeous redwoods located in front of their home.

We are thrilled to have Pat and Alicia sponsor the Dance/Fitness Studio. They are working with staff to have their own special inscription of “Under the Gingko Tree” painted on one wall to cel-ebrate their love of Burlingame and each other. We thank the Moorehead family for this gener-ous Legacy Gift and the lifetime of physical fitness for our Community that it will support.
